HC with exquisite engraving detail, front with central shield engraved "Nov 7th 1887" and surrounded by rose gold log frame and multicolor floral detail, rear with mine cut diamond at center within a multicolor gold rosette surrounded by rose gold log frame and multicolor floral detail, gold cuvette engraved "Presented to J.S. Devore by Fenie M. Devore," "John Baumer, Omaha, Neb." marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#169762. Gross weight of assembled watch 93.6 dwt (145.7 g). An exceptionally beautiful case with vibrant color and exquisite crisp detail.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly on a full wind after some prodding to start, overhaul needed, virtually mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, some attractive mild toning of plate surfaces, very few minimal micro-fine scratches; dial with scattered outer chapter hls; nearly mint hands; case shows virtually no wear, no dents or dings, exquisite crisp engraving detail, case with additional lever-set slot filed to accommodate present mvt but with no sign of having ever held another mvt leading us to believe this modification was performed at its original point of sale; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
